Dripping
Dripping is an oil painting on canvas. It was inspired by the work of Kwangho Shin, which I saw in New York City. His works usually involve copious amounts of oil paint, oil, and a large spectrum of colors. While he colors in most of his figures with a flesh tone base, I adapted his style by using drips to outline her form to create a more abstract body. I view the dripping oil paint as a representation of her aura and her life or energy pulsing through her body. Dripping was painted in 2015.
